Associate Professor Ian Scott
Associate Professor Scott is a consultant general physician with clinical interests in non-invasive cardiology and older patient care. He is director of Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Queensland and Adjunct Associate Professor of Medicine at Monash University. Ian is a member of the Clinical Standards Advisory Committee and the Atlas of Variation Steering Committee of the Australian Commission for Quality and Safety in Health Care and a member of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand/National Heart Foundation Executive Group for clinical practice guidelines. He has been involved at senior level and as a member of high-level committees in establishing policies for Queensland Health and/or Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) on electronic discharge summaries, clinical handover, clinical indicators, evaluation of physician performance, chronic disease management, criteria-led discharge, perioperative medicine and medical assessment and planning units, and patient flow through emergency departments.
