Respiratory Disease

Respiratory diseases contribute significant morbidity and mortality, and is a leading cause of preventable admissions. This network of researchers in clinical, epidemiology, physiology, basic science and related disciplines will study prevention, risk factors, diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions in our community. The complete spectrum of respiratory presentations will be investigated, e.g. from asthma, COPD and respiratory infections in primary care, through to specialist care for patients with lung cancer, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, sleep disorders and other conditions, and people needing lung transplantation.
